The MTV reality star, aged 41, and his wife, aged 38, joyfully introduced their son, Romeo, to the world in May 2021. Romeo’s arrival marked a significant milestone, arriving almost two years after Lauren courageously opened up about her miscarriage.
Looking back on her challenging experience during a November 2019 interview on ABC’s “Strahan, Sara and Keke,” the expectant mother of three shared, “I didn’t want to keep this to myself. I felt it was important to share my journey for the sake of others who might be going through the same thing. I wanted to be honest and open about it as part of my healing process.”
Their journey to parenthood was marked by challenges. Before the birth of Romeo, Lauren candidly shared that she experienced a miscarriage seven weeks into her pregnancy in 2019, a heart-wrenching experience she discussed during a November 2019 interview on Good Morning America.

Lauren and Mike, who exchanged vows in 2018, later revealed that they conceived their children the night Mike returned home from prison in September 2019, following his eight-month sentence for tax evasion.
